Children will arrive as usual at 8:30 that morning and we will meet you in the big gym at 10:30 for our Graduation program and ceremony. (Because we know Grandmas and Grandpas like to "oooh" and "aaah" too, you are welcome to invite them as well! :) More information will be coming home as we get closer to the date. Learning Games
There are so many ways that your child picks up new skills! Sometimes
just watching you do something leads to a new skill for them...sometimes
that's good and sometimes not so much! :) Here are a few simple games
that you can play with your child to help practice those skills:- I Spy - Matching - A fun twist on this game is to make double prints of family photos. You can then turn them over and play with the traditional matching rules. - Shapes - Cut out circles, squares and triangles. Hide them throughout the house and have them find and name them. - Echo - Show your child a pattern and have your child repeat it. (Ex: clap-clap-stomp) - Rhyming - Choose an object around the house and try to come up with a word that rhymes with it. (ex. Chair - bear, socks - box - fox) If you child comes up with a word that doesn't make sense (ex. hat-yat) that is ok! Read to the Class We have had several parents and grandparents who have come in to read to the kids. If this is something you like to schedule, please let us know! Labels for Education We will be sending in one last Labels for Education collection. If you have been saving them up, please turn them in no later than April 30th. Please let us know if you need more sheets to glue them on to. | Pasta Night Fundraiser
Thanks to the families that helped with our Pasta Night!! Weather It's that crazy time of year again when it tends to be chilly in the
morning and warm in the afternoon. So that brings me to the
question....how do I dress my kids in the morning? Our playground is fairly protected from wind, but it still tends to be a little chilly in the morning when we are outside. Please dress your child appropriately to keep them comfortable. Next Year We are happy to inform you that Mrs. Eslick is going to be a GRANDMA!!
As you can imagine, she is very excited -- just ask her about it and
her eyes light up! :) Unfortunately for us, she has decided that her
place next year is taking care of her new grandbaby. Although we don't
blame her one bit, we sure will miss her!!! Due
to these circumstances, we will be posting her position soon to find a
replacement. We will be making final arrangements and then will post
her position after our Board Meeting on Thursday evening. We are hoping
to avoid phone calls about her position which will disrupt our time
with our children. If you know of someone who may be interested, please have them check our website beginning Friday. They can also email us (after Friday, April 10th) for more information. Although
we can never fill Mrs. Eslick's "shoes", we have many great members in
our community and am sure we will find someone who will take great care
of our kids! Upcoming Events April 2 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA!! 6 - Dental Screenings HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACH!! 8 - Blank Park Zoo Visits, 10:30 a.m. 9 - Board Meeting 11 - Elem. Carnival, 5-8 p.m. 24 - NO SCHOOL 29 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAYDEN!! May 15 - Last day of preschool Graduation at 10:30 a.m. |
